Violin

From the time she first discovered violin at age eleven, Rebecca Neely devoted much of herself to studying, performing, and later teaching, her craft. As a Christian, Rebecca originally found violin practice to be a wonderful time allowing for prayer and scripture meditation in the quiet of her mind. As time continued, she pursued music as a profession and began her career as a professional performer while in high school with The Red Cedar Chamber Ensemble.

Currently, Rebecca performs 1st violin with the Peccatte String Quartet, has been guest principal second violin with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, Concertmaster of Orchestra Enigmatic, and has performed with the Louisville Orchestra, Orchestra Kentucky, the Louisville Ballet pit orchestra, and regularly in her church. As a teacher, Rebecca is on the faculty of Boyce College, the assistant director of the Kentucky Christian String Camp, director and orchestra conductor of the Seminary School of the Arts String Chamber Orchestra and Ensembles program at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, teaches private violin and viola instruction, and works in the JCPS School District as an orchestra and choir coach.
