As an oboist, Marji Harding performs throughout the Philadelphia area as a soloist and in a variety of musical organizations, including the Mid-Atlantic Chamber Players, ConcertOPERA Philadelphia, The Garden State Philharmonic, the Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra, as well as orchestral groups in Lancaster, PA. As an educator, Marji maintains a private studio of oboe students. She has taught instrumental, choral and general music in both public and private schools, and occasionally serves as an evaluator for music festivals and as a double reed clinician. Currently, Marji is an educator in the Council Rock School district in Bucks County, PA where she teaches elementary music and chorus. She earned degrees in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Masters of Music from the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music. Her primary teachers include Steve Labiner, Erin Hannigan and Humbert Lucarelli. Outside of music, Marji enjoys running, cooking and reading. She and her husband, Benjamin, a pianist, enjoy performing together and spending time with their 4 children.
