Conductor, tenor, and composer Alessio Tranchell serves as Assistant Professor of Music at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN where he directs the Concert Chorale, the Women’s Chorus, and the Festival Chorus. Additionally, Tranchell teaches courses in Vocal Pedagogy, Conducting, and Music History. Previously, Alessio worked at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul where he directed the Amata Women’s Chorale and taught courses in music theory and sight singing. Since moving to Saint Paul in 2017, Alessio has also worked as an adjunct faculty at Crown College and Saint Cloud State University teaching private voice and conducting. As a vocalist Tranchell sings locally with the Minnesota Opera Chorus, Skylark Opera, and The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. He currently lives in downtown St. Paul with his wife, Caroline, and two pugs Tommy and Roger.
