Austin Funkhouser is a dedicated music educator and performer with a passion for guiding young musicians on their musical journey. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Messiah University and a Master’s degree in Education from Liberty University. Austin teaches elementary music in the Carlisle Area School District, where he works alongside his wife, who is also a music educator.

Outside the classroom, Austin is an active performer and collaborator in the local music scene. He is regularly contracted to perform in community musicals and special church services, and also plays with the local town band. He maintains a private trumpet studio, helping students develop their technique, musicality, and confidence.

Austin is thrilled to be part of the faculty team this summer and looks forward to sharing his love of music, creativity, and fun with this year’s campers!
