Brian Reichenbach

Before moving to the Chattanooga area in 2021, trumpeter Brian Reichenbach established himself as a versatile musician in the Chicago area for nearly twenty years.  As a chamber musician, Brian has performed as a member of the International Chamber Artists, New Chicago Brass, and Lincoln Park Brass.  He has also been a member of the Elmhurst Symphony and performed with ensembles including Chicago Sinfonietta, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra, Millar Brass, and Eurobrass.  Currently, Brian performs regularly with the Chattanooga Symphony and tours nationally with concert organist Rhonda Sider Edgington.  The Great Lakes Duo has championed new music for trumpet and organ through numerous commissions and premiere performances as well as their 2021 album titled Music for Trumpet & Organ in the 21st Century.  In addition, Brian has presented at International Trumpet Guild Conferences and performed at the Midwest Clinic and International Women's Brass Conference.

Brian most recently served as Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Lee University.  Previously, he held various roles as a teacher and conductor at Trinity International University, Olivet Nazarene University, Wheaton College, and College of DuPage.  

Brian received a DMA in Trumpet Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he studied with Ronald Romm and Charles Daval. Previously, he studied with John Hagstrom at DePaul University and Terry Schwartz at Wheaton College.  Brian grew up in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, studying trumpet with Steve Heitzer and Ken Benjamin, and attended Csehy Summer School of Music while in high school.  He may or may not have met his wife, Christy, there when she was also a Csehy camper.
