Trombonist Hayden Adams is on the faculty of Settlement Music School as a low brass instructor and Student Services Assistant. He is also the Chamber Music Program Coordinator and Director of Solo Performance and Competitions at the Philadelphia International Music Festival. Hayden maintains an active performing schedule as a freelance musician in the greater Philadelphia area.

A native of Massachusetts now residing in Philadelphia, Hayden has performed with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra, Curtis Symphony Orchestra, Wayne Oratorio Society, Haverford Chorale Orchestra, Villanova University Chorale, and classical crossover vocal group Il Divo. Hayden has played in numerous masterclasses and lessons with world-renowned trombonists such as Joseph Alessi, Nitzan Haroz, Colin Williams, Blair Bollinger, George Curran, John Rojak, Denson Paul Pollard, and Scott Hartman. He currently holds positions on the substitute lists of the Capital Philharmonic and Symphony in C. Hayden has also participated in numerous music festivals across the country such as the Blackburn Music Academy - Festival Napa Valley, Atlantic Brass Quintet Seminar, and Eastman Summer Trombone Institute.

Hayden holds a Master’s Degree in Trombone Performance from the Boston Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Norman Bolter, former trombonist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Trombone Performance from Temple University where he studied with Matthew Vaughn, Co-Principal trombone of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
